You’re invited: MND Support Group in Auckland
Carers, Events, Support
26 September 2024
You’re invited to attend the new MND Support Group for the Auckland region, taking place at 12.30pm on Wednesday 2 October at the MND national office, 14 Erson Avenue, Royal Oak.
“The support group gathering is the result of several clients saying ‘It would be really good to have a support group',” says Rachel Woodworth, MND Support Advisor for Auckland and Counties Manukau.
“It is an opportunity for people affected by MND to meet in an informal, accessible and friendly environment to chat, catch up over a cuppa tea or coffee and learn from each other. We'd love to see you there.”
It is likely that there will be people attending at differing stages of their MND journey, which may be a little confronting for some people. If you are unsure or have any questions, please contact your MND Support Advisor.
You are invited to join the MND support group if you:
- have MND,
- are a carer of a person with MND,
- are a local health or community care worker involved in the care of people with MND.
