Support Advisors
Our regional support advisors provide free, personalised support and advocacy for almost every person with motor neurone disease in New Zealand, from Stewart Island to Northland. They work together with people with MND, and their families, to enable them to have the best quality of life possible.
What does a support advisor do?
Our support advisors help link their clients with the appropriate health care professionals from multi-disciplinary teams of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, speech language therapists, and community nurses across New Zealand. Support advisors can also act on their client’s behalf to navigate government agencies and specialist equipment services.
If you are not sure which support team member to contact, or have a general MND support question, please contact the central office at 0800 444 474.
