Edm Banner Supporter Update V2

At Motor Neurone Disease NZ, our greatest strength is you – our MND community. Thanks to your support, we walked alongside more than 480 families in 2025.

This year, 134 Kiwis received the life-changing diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND). Each person and their whānau faced a new and challenging reality. Our mission is clear: no one should face this disease alone. We want a world where people with MND live with dignity and mana protected – and where one day, MND can be treated, cured, or prevented.

Your generosity made this possible:

  • 483 families supported, including 134 newly diagnosed
  • 12,500 hours of community-based support
  • 147 tailored MND information packs
  • 120 Support Fund grants distributed
  • $121,217 granted for practical support
  • $144,218 contributed to research
  • 23 awareness and education sessions delivered

This year, you also helped us launch a new MND NZ Educator role, expand advocacy for faster access to equipment and housing modifications, and complete the MND Insight Research study – the most comprehensive of its kind in Aotearoa.

Every hour of support, every piece of equipment, every research dollar is thanks to you. If you can, please consider making a donation so we can continue this vital work.
