Introducing Kate Andrews, MND NZ Regional Support Advisor

Kate With Family Cropped

Kate Andrews has swapped her farming gumboots for a pair of jandals with her family's recent move from the wild West Coast of the South Island to Papamoa in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. While there are no regrets about leaving behind the early starts of a dairy farming life for the sun, surf and sand, she does miss the farm animals.

“In my ‘spare time' I am busy with my Mum-life. We've spent a lot of the school holidays at the beach and attempting the “Mother-Daughter/Son challenges” that you see online… with varied success but a lot of laughs,” says Kate. When she's not at the beach, she enjoys working alongside her clients in her new role as Regional MND Support Advisor for Bay of Plenty (south), Lakes, Hawkes Bay and Tairāwhiti.

“In my pre-farming life I was a physiotherapist so it is nice getting back to working with people again. I am loving travelling around, meeting so many wonderful people and exploring the Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne area,” says Kate.

“I also love being part of such an incredible team and appreciate the opportunity to share the MND journey with all the people across the regions I visit.”
