Growing support - mnd recruiting

We're growing our support! 💙

Motor Neurone Disease NZ was built on the ethos of helping people affected by MND – it’s the cornerstone of all that we do. We’re delighted to be recruiting for a second MND Regional Support Advisor for the South Island, so we can better support those in North Otago (south of the Waitaki), Otago, Southland, Queenstown, and the lakes.

MND Support Advisors walk the path alongside those impacted by MND, providing free, personalised support and advocacy to individuals, family and whānau. They build caring and supportive relationships through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, text messages, email, and video calls.

Read more about the support service, here.

This growth in the Motor Neurone Disease NZ support service is made possible with funds raised from June’s MND Action Month, as well as our ongoing donors, grant funders, and other fundraisers. We’ll be closing the June campaign at the end of July so there’s still time to take part if you haven’t had the chance. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far and helped widen our support.

Applications for the MND Support Advisor role close 18 July. If you have a heart for making a difference and meet the criteria, we want to hear from you.
