22 July 2026
Dr Grace Chen from the Centre for Public Health Research is doing research into concussion and neurodegenerative diseases, including motor neurone disease (MND).
She is looking for family members of people who are living with, or who have died with MND to attend a focus group to be arranged at a suitable time in late July/August 2026. This can be either in-person at Massey University Wellington Campus or online, depending on your location and preference.
You are eligible to take part if:
- You are a family member of a person living with MND (they do not have to have had concussion).
- You are a bereaved family member of a person who died with MND (they do not have to have had concussion).
- You can attend an in-person focus group in Wellington, or an online (Zoom or MS Teams) group for up to 60 minutes in late July/August.
Your rights and token of appreciation:
- All responses will be anonymous in the study findings.
- You can withdraw at any time.
- You will receive a $20 Woolworths voucher as a token of the research team’s appreciation.
