Join us Sunday 23 July on Waiheke Island, for a G&T for MND hosted by Waiheke Distilling Co! 💙

The team at this iconic boutique distillery have created a gorgeous blue cocktail to capture the essence of the MND cornflower blue logo and story as part of #MNDActionMonth.

The unique cocktail is anchored on Waiheke Distilling Co’s London Dry gin, complemented with Blue Curacao Liqueur, generous amounts of lime for zest and topped off with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic and garnished with mint.

Jo Kelly, MND NZ Support Services Manager, explained “the idea came to me during a challenging day at the office and daydreaming of escaping to my favourite place – Waiheke Island. The thought of sitting cliffside on the beanbags at the distillery, overlooking the stunning Hauraki Gulf and basking in the sun whilst sipping a G&T… for MND.

“What better way to mix business with pleasure than to create a blue themed G&T (a take on the Cuppa Tea for MND) and pair this with my own ice bucket challenge,” Jo adds.

This one-of-a-kind cocktail will be available throughout the day, with a donation of $4 from every glass sold donated to Motor Neurone Disease NZ to fund ongoing research and support.

The event is open to the public and takes place from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Come and enjoy a special G&T for MND, and watch Jo take on the infamous ice bucket challenge at this beautiful location.
