Thank you for your Incredible support during June

Wow, what an incredible June YOU have helped create!

Your support means the world to us. Here at Motor Neurone Disease NZ, we see firsthand the cruel blows and unfairness of an MND diagnosis on both the individual and those that love them. We also see the hope and strength you offer through Motor Neurone Disease NZ.

We've been overwhelmed by the recent support for the Ice Bucket Challenge and Cuppa Tea for MND fundraisers as part of the June MND Action Month campaign.  Across the month we’ve seen passionate individuals, friends, families, whānau, and colleagues, rise to the challenge in all shapes and forms and join together to make a difference.

Read about some of the campaign highlights here.

With your help, and alongside over 1,300 other compassionate people – you've raised over $110,000 to help fund research for a cure, and help make time count for those living with the disease today.

Here's just a brief overview of your impact….

  • RESEARCH – You're helping scientists to research and better understand the complexities of MND, so that truly effective treatments can be developed, and ultimately, a cure can be found.
  • SUPPORT – You're helping to make time count for people with MND and their loved ones by providing personalised, compassionate, and practical help through community-based MND Support Advisors.
  • ADVOCACY – You're helping to advocate for equitable care, timely access to essential equipment, home modifications, and support systems for improved quality of life – regardless of where you live.

We are incredibly fortunate to have your support. Thank you for being part of this special month and for being a part of our Motor Neurone Disease NZ whānau 💙

There's still time to donate to the MND Action Month campaign, here.
