One Week Today: We’re Walking to Defeat MND 💙

Awareness, Community, Events, Fundraising

31 October 2026

Tackld Mnd Wellington 20

In just one week, people across Aotearoa will come together for the 2026 Walk to Defeat MND.

From Auckland to Wellington to Christchurch, and in homes and communities around the country, we’ll walk in honour, in memory, and in support of everyone affected by motor neurone disease.

And already, this year’s Walk is making an incredible impact.

💙 More than $75,000 has been raised so far

💙 Almost 700 people have registered to walk or roll with us

💙 Dozens more are taking part virtually

💙 One amazing fundraiser has raised more than $11,000

Every dollar raised helps MND NZ provide support, advocacy, information, education and connection for people and whānau affected by MND. It also helps fund research to better understand MND, improve care and treatment options, and create hope for the future.

There’s still time to get involved

If you’ve already registered, now is the perfect time to make one final push with your fundraising.

Share your page with friends, whānau and colleagues. Tell them why you’re taking part. Every conversation and every donation helps make a difference.

If you haven’t registered yet, we’d love to have you join us.
