Als Poetry

Hi, I’m Paul Kelly, a 32-year-old Tasmanian who has been living with motor neurone disease (MND) for the past nine years. I’m excited to announce a special project close to my heart: a poetry collection titled 100 Poems From People Affected by ALS.

This anthology will bring together poems from those directly impacted by MND—whether you’re living with the disease, caring for someone who is, or working as a medical professional in the MND community. The goal is to capture the diverse emotions, stories, and insights from the MD experience, offering readers a deeper understanding of what it's like to navigate life with this condition.

All proceeds from the book will go towards supporting MND research and care initiatives, helping to further the fight against this disease.

How You Can Help
I’m calling for poetry submissions from anyone affected by MND. Whether your poem is a single line or a longer reflection, we want to hear your voice. Poetry is a powerful way to express emotions, and there are no strict guidelines—free verse, sonnets, or haikus are all welcome.

Submission Details

Together, we can create something meaningful that not only shares our stories but also supports the ongoing fight against ALS/MND. Thank you for considering submitting your poetry!
