Covid-19

Having entered a nationwide Alert Level 4 COVID-19 lock-down period, we want to let you know what we are doing in response to current situation.

Because the Registry is based in the Auckland DHB, we have put plans in place to enable Registry staff to continue to work from home using the hospital’s secure computer environment.

We wish to assure you that our participants and the wider MND community will continue to receive the support, which is an essential part of our relationship with you. Due to the COVID-19 situation, most of the research studies are NOT recruiting new participants. However, we remain in close contact with our research partners and will keep you updated.

We are continuing to register patients through our online registration and consent system – click here to register
If you have any enquiries, please click here to send us an email.

In addition, please find attached  below some information from the American Neuromuscular disease doctors who look after patients with motor neurone disease in the USA (where they call it ALS). This contains some good advice, but  note of course that it quotes American phone numbers!
