We need your help – MND doesn’t stop and neither will we

As New Zealand enters this unpredictable and unsettling period of national lock-down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our minds and hearts are with the individuals and families currently living with motor neurone disease.
MND New Zealand will continue to operate during this period, with all our team working from home. We are determined to continue supporting our community, which is more crucial than ever at the moment. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
MND New Zealand is a charity that receives less than 7% percent of its funding from the government. To continue providing our vital support services, we are almost entirely reliant on the generosity of the public. Each year we need to raise over $1 million. Without this income, it is impossible for us to continue. We rely on generous donations from individuals, community groups, and businesses across New Zealand, many of whom hold events and take on challenges to raise funds.
COVID-19 has already forced us to cancel several planned fundraising events, and we estimate that $30,000 of expected income has already been lost. As more and more of these events are cancelled, we expect further, potentially devastating losses in income.
Would you consider helping us with an urgent donation of $50 today?
At least two people are diagnosed with MND every week in New Zealand. People will continue to be diagnosed during the Alert Level Four lock-down. MND does not stop.
And neither will we.
Help enable MND New Zealand to continue its vital work, supporting people living with this devastating disease today, as well as those who are yet to be diagnosed.
We need your support now.
Thank you. Your generosity in this difficult time is appreciated more than you know.
