There are many ways you can volunteer for MND New Zealand.
For example, in November each year, our volunteer led Walk 2 D’Feet MND events take place across New Zealand. These easy, fun family friendly walks are a powerful way to show your support for people with motor neurone disease (MND) and raise vital funds to enable MND New Zealand to continue their work. All Walk 2 D’Feet MND events are accessible for wheelchairs, prams and strollers. Visit www.mndwalk.org.nz to register.
Whether it's raising awareness, placing collection tins in local businesses or representing MND New Zealand at local events, our community volunteers play a vital role in uniting the community in our fight against motor neurone disease.
Every year in November MND New Zealand holds walk 2 D’Feet MND events across NZ. These events are form the biggest fundraiser for MND New Zealand in the year and are completely volunteer lead. If you have brilliant organisational and interpersonal skills, why not start a Walk 2 D’Feet MND event locally or join our amazing fundraisers who already hold an event in your area.
Coin collection boxes are a great way to not only raise some funds, but also generate awareness of motor neurone disease in the community. Do you know of a local shop, café or another business that would be willing to place a collection box on their counter? We have care with coins labels that can be added to a container and placed at point of sale. Volunteer to place, collect and bank funds raised though care with coins.
Would you or your colleagues like to offer your time instead of, or as well as, fundraising for us?
Gift your design, PR or event skills to MND New Zealand. Providing a volunteer service to MND New Zealand can help us to reduce our running costs and allow us to concentrate our funding on reaching our goals.
