The corporate Ice Bucket Challenge
Would you take pleasure in nominating a CEO, General Manager, or Director in your own or another corporation, to have a bucket of ice water dumped over their head, all to raise funds and awareness of motor neurone disease? Then get involved in The Corporate Ice Bucket Challenge.
How your company can join the Ice Bucket Challenge
The Corporate Ice Bucket Challenge gives companies the opportunity to nominate a big boss to take on the challenge. MND New Zealand can supply resources to nominate your selected participant and ask if their company are willing to accept the challenge of raising vital funds in aid of MND New Zealand.
MND New Zealand works closely with both nominators and nominees, providing resources and support to make fundraising and promotion as easy as possible. Your company can help by nominating a participant and pledging a generous donation.
Past Corporate Legends
In 2021 Colliers Highbrook took on the Ice Bucket Challenge and raised the highest donation total in the history of this challenge in New Zealand. In honour of dear friend, colleague, and family member Greg Goldfinch Sr, they raised a staggering $200,000 for MND NZ.
Director of Angel Street, Marcus Gerbich, who developed the challenge, successfully nominated these three participants in 2019: Calum Haslop - Go Bus Director, Murray Schnuriger - PwC Managing Partner, and Andrew Carpenter - TR Group Managing Director.
Each nominee set up their online fundraising pages and Angel Street kicked things off by generously sponsoring each of the participants $5,000.
On the 10th November 2019, the trio completed The Corporate Ice Bucket Challenge, having raised over $50,000 in online and offline donations in aid of MND New Zealand - what an incredible achievement!
