Support Service During Covid-19 Protection Framework
MND New Zealand holds the safety and wellbeing of our community at the centre of all we do. We are conscious that our community is more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19, and we care about the safety of our staff.
Our team at MND New Zealand are all fully vaccinated and are happy to answer any questions that you may have about their potential exposure to COVID-19 before you agree to a face-to-face meeting.
RED: “Action needed to protect health system and at-risk populations.”
Local service: face to face support can be offered to all clients, your support advisor will have a conversation with you about any potential exposure they have had to COVID-19 and will ask questions about any potential exposure you may have had. Visits will only occur if all parties concerned are comfortable with this. Support advisors will wear masks, sanitise, and socially distance when providing face to face support indoors.
If any party concerned is uncomfortable with a face-to-face meeting occurring, then other methods of support will be used.
Outreach Service: outreach trips and face to face visits can occur only to other regions that are also in the Red level of the protection framework. The same process will be used as outlined above for local services.
Orange: “Increasing community transmission and increasing risk to at risk populations”
Local service: face to face support can be offered to all clients, your support advisor will have a conversation with you about any potential exposure they have had to covid-19 and will ask questions about any potential exposure you may have had. Visits will only occur if all parties concerned are comfortable with this. Support advisors will wear masks, sanitise, and socially distance when providing face to face support indoors.
